KIYOMI

If you’re after incredible service, a sleek fit-out and top-notch Japanese fare, then Kiyomi is for you. Bagging a slew of awards (including a Chef’s Hat in 2018), Executive Head Chef, Chase Kojima, is a true visionary, creating authentic flavours with a modern twist that will take your taste buds on a trip to Tokyo and back. Expect melt-in-your-mouth wagyu, sashimi and foie gras, all of which should be consumed with one of their signature freshly shaken cocktails.

SOCIAL EATING HOUSE

Nestled within the tree-lined Oracle Boulevard, Social Eating House is casual fine dining at its best. Winner of the People’s Choice ‘Chef Of The Year’ award, three times in a row, Head Chef and owner, Matthew Jefferson, has created a menu that is designed to be shared. Start with a cocktail at the bar then tuck into fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with buffalo ricotta, honey and lemon, plates of fresh oysters, BBQ Fremantle octopus and handmade cavatelli pasta with pork and fennel.

RICK SHORES

The seaside location of Rick Shores alone makes it one of the Gold Coast’s best fine dining restaurants. Perched perfectly on the edge of Burleigh Beach, with waves crashing against the coastline, diners get a front row seat to witness Gold Coast’s incredible natural beauty. But on to the real star of the show – the food! Featuring a Pan Asian menu, if you’re the kind of person who struggles to choose between too many delicious options, the set menu is an absolute winner – and yes it includes their famous Bug Roll.

NINETEEN AT THE STAR

Located high in the clouds of The Darling, Nineteen at The Star is one of the Gold Coast’s best fine dining spots. Featuring sleek booths and floor to ceiling windows, you can soak up sweeping views while you tuck into Head Chef, Uday Huja’s exquisite menu. With taste sensations like Bay Bug Raviolo, Bendele duck and of course lots of caviar, you’ll want to savour every bite. Be sure to enjoy a glass of bubbles on the sun-drenched rooftop bar after your meal.

ORZO

Who said Italian food couldn’t be fine dining? Take a trip to the Amalfi Coast (no passport required) at this stunning spot, which is a magnet for local lovers of fine food. Combining authentic Italian techniques with modern twists and flavours, make sure you arrive at Orzo hungry. Using traditional ‘00’ flour imported all the way from Italy, the menu comprises of fresh seafood and delicate pasta dishes, as well as heartier eats like roasted duck breast and rib fillet.

RESTAURANT LABART

Doing away with white tablecloths, Restaurant Labart oozes cool with polished concrete floors, moody lighting and raw timber. The open kitchen allows diners to see hatted Head Chef and owner, Alex Munoz Labart, and his team, make pure magic slinging mouth-watering dishes from the seasonal, ever-changing menu. Pro tip: don’t skip the bread and butter starter. Their salty, caramelised whipped butter is sold by the jar to their adoring fans for a very good reason – it will transport your taste buds to heaven.

LITTLE TRUFFLE

One of the Gold Coast’s longest standing fine dining institutions, Little Truffle (currently closed for renovations) is an absolute must for your next special occasion. This hidden gem has been creating unforgettable dining experiences for over a decade. Led by Head Chef, Daniel Ridgeway, and Chef de Cuisine, Jason Burt, the award-winning menu features modern Australian cuisine with flavours from Italy, Spain and France. If you like your fine dining experience intimate and classic, then Little Truffle is for you.
