Overview

Footy fans assemble! The 2022 AFL season is coming to a close on Saturday September 24, with the grand final clash at the MCG in Melbourne. If you can’t make it down south to watch the game in person, The Star is offering you the next best thing right here on the Gold Coast.

Sports Bar and Garden Kitchen & Bar invite you to pull up a seat and watch the game live, large and loud on the big screens. Don your team’s colours and head to Sports Bar, where you can stay hydrated at the cash bar and chow down on a range of footy classics, including chicken schnitzel, pizzas, burgers and wings. Sports Bar offers 23 screens, an outdoor terrace and a giant 10.5m screen – so you don’t have to worry about missing one kick or goal.

Alternatively, book a picnic table for you and your mates on The Lawn at Garden Kitchen & Bar where there will be cold drinks, delicious snacks and live DJ entertainment post-game. It’s $200 to secure a picnic table smack bang in front of the big screen, and your full deposit can be used to purchase food and drinks during the game. Alternatively, entry to The Lawn is free with walk-in tables available – be quick, though, as this event is bound to be pumping!
