Overview

Bringing films to life

The Gold Coast Film Festival is a celebration of film and filmmaking hosted in Australia’s most dynamic screen destination, the Gold Coast, from 17-28 April presenting the best of Australian and international cinema along with profiling local and independent films.

Now in its 23rd year, the festival includes 12 jam-packed days and nights of amazing films, inspirational panels and special events.

Gold Coast Film Festival 2024 will explore diverse stories and unique perspectives on-screen through its short and feature film program and will award a range of prizes across various festival competition strands. Through the Gold Coast Film Festival Public Giving Fund, several free-to-attend industry education events provide wonderful opportunities for emerging and established screen creatives to learn, connect and grow.

The Gold Coast Film Festival is supported by the Queensland State Government through Screen Queensland, Experience Gold Coast, Tourism and Events Queensland, and the City of Gold Coast.
