    Karen’s Diner Gold Coast

Karen’s of the Gold Coast unite! A pop-up dining experience is opening its doors on July 1 and will be home to more Karens than you can complain too! From the brave minds at Wonderland Bar & Beyond Cinema comes a diner like no other – expect rude service, singing waiters and regular guest appearances from the manager – the most Karen Karen ever – just don’t dare ask to see her! This is dining with a twist – the food is great, the service is ungrateful but your experience will be unforgettable. This is the anti Google review diner, a place where having 100k on Instagram gets you a naughty sticker rather than a free meal. Lear more about Karen’s Diner here.

When it comes to the artists and events, we are well and truly spoiled for choice. Six artist groups have been invited to practice full-time in-residence at the North Burleigh Hub in the lead-up to and during the festival. The North Burleigh Hub’s ocean-side location also brings a jam-packed cultural program featuring unique performances, interactive elements, community connectivity, culinary storytelling and fantastical worlds for the young at heart. The Gold Coast Botanic Gardens will host four evenings of signature outdoor concerts headlined by Opera Queensland and Kate Miller-Heidke.Those attending events in Miami, Miami Marketta and Burleigh Brewing can expect promenade performances, breathtaking BMX and parkour displays, skating frivolity, electronic music, female-centric storytelling and short films. Head west to the hinterland for a series of unique performances in the rusticly rural sheds of Mudgeeraba, and pop into HOTA, where artists are invited to respond to the works featured in the current exhibition. There is simply too much BLEACH* goodness to cover, so we recommend jumping online to check out the entire festival program. Here you can book tickets and start planning your way through this unmissable, culture-soaked array of events running from August 11–21.
