Overview

The multi-award-winning international smash-hit musical makes its long-awaited debut at The Star Gold Coast for a strictly limited season in October 2022. Bringing to life the behind-the-scenes story of legendary Australian entertainer Peter Allen, this production is presented by Spotlight Theatrical Company, directed and choreographed by Drew Anthony and will feature an all-singing, all-dancing cast of Queensland’s top local community and professional musical theatre talent. Featuring some of the most iconic songs ever written by an Australian including I Go To Rio, I Honestly Love You, Don’t Cry Out Loud, Everything Old Is New Again and the Academy Award winning Arthur’s Theme, this production will dazzle and electrify, and have you singing (and crying) through Peter’s incredible life story. 2022 marks 30 years since the world lost the incredible Peter Allen, so we invite you to celebrate his unprecedented life and career at this brand new production of The Boy From Oz.
