Undertow
Award winning theatre makers Shock Therapy Productions proudly present Undertow, an honest and powerful look at the hidden forces beneath the surface that move us and determine the choices we make and the actions we take. Centering around a high school community, the show follows three central characters, Jesse, Connor and Phil, as they each struggle to cope with the pressures of life while trying to manage relationships with the people close to them. Funny, moving, poignant and dynamic, Undertow is a two-actor tour de force of storytelling. Shock Therapy draw on a range of film conventions and physical theatre techniques to push their signature style in a new direction, blurring the line between different realities. The result is theatre that is fluid and inventive, sweeping you up as the story pulls you deeper.

Together they paint a unique picture of Pop Art across the past 60 years to present Australia. Pop Art is larger than life. Often witty and always insightful, it comments on commercial and popular culture by reimagining the world around us – transforming the everyday into the extraordinary. Love Me Season 2 Premiere Gold Coast
HOTA are pleased to invite you to an exclusive preview of Season 2 of the award-winning BINGE Original series LOVE ME. Join cast and creatives for this celebrated screen event. Your invitation to this event includes a complimentary pre-screening reception, followed by a Q&A with cast and creatives. With its exploration of modern love by different family members at three distinct times of life, Season 2 picks up the story of The Mathiesons family, with Hugo Weaving returning as Glenn, the father experiencing new love in his 60s; Bojana Novakovic, the highly successful, yet complicated Clara; and William Lodder, as Aaron, facing the complexities of love, and new responsibility. The series is directed by Bonnie Moir, lead writers are Leon Ford and Tamara Asmar, with Adele Vuko and Celia Pacquola each penning an episode. Somerset Storyfest Writers Festival
Book lovers and storytellers rejoice. The 30th annual Somerset Storyfest will see 30 of the country’s most celebrated authors, illustrators and artists converge on the Gold Coast, from Tuesday 28 to Thursday 30 March, to inspire the next generation of writers and avid readers. In between daily sessions with authors and book signings at the Book Shop, you can also revel in a series of special public events including the Prologue Party with special guests Bluey and Bingo, the annual Literary Lunch, Write and Sip and the annual Long Table Dinner.

2023 Ocean Film Festival World Tour
Designed to mesmerise and enthral, the Ocean Film Festival World Tour showcases a 3 hour celebration of our oceans comprised of sublime footage taken above and below the water’s surface. Celebrate the 10th anniversary of this unique collection of short films from around the globe document the beauty and power of the ocean, and celebrate the divers, surfers, swimmers and oceanographers who live for the sea’s salt spray; who chase the crests of waves; and who marvel at the mysteries of the big blue. The films feature captivating cinematography, complete with awe-inspiring underwater scenes and fast-paced wave sequences that have been captured from unbelievable vantage points. Inspiring and thought-provoking, the Ocean Film Festival World Tour is filled with moving footage, touching interviews and insightful narrations.
