Coming to the Gold Coast during December? Then you’re in for an absolute treat!
There are so many incredible Christmas events and activities happening this month to get you into the spirit of the silly season.
- Must-do Carols -
When: From 3pm, Saturday 10 December
Where: Kurrawa Park, Broadbeach
Celebrate the festive season with a host of kid’s activities from 3pm including rock climbing, a giant slide, face painting, snow globe family photos and obstacle courses to entertain the whole family. Carols begin at 6pm with a phenomenal cast of performers including Marina Prior.
When: 5-7:30pm, Sunday 11 December
Where: Queen Elizabeth Park, Coolangatta
Coolangatta will come alive with Christmas carols, market stalls and food trucks, plus free face painting and more for the whole family to enjoy. Be sure to look up to see skydiving Santa as he makes a memorable entrance to this very special event!

Where: Village Green, Sanctuary Cove
Soak up the traditional sounds of the festive season as talented musicians join renowned tenor Rocco Speranza, the magical prowess of Matt Hollywood, along with Santa and Rudolf!
When: 4-7:30pm, Saturday 17 December
Where: Southport Yacht Club
Arrive at the Southport Yacht Club by 5:30pm to catch Santa’s arrival from the North Pole before enjoying an evening of Christmas festivities on the broadwater. Kick back at the Waterscape Pontoon Bar for a live band singing Christmas carols and face painting for the kids.
When: 6:30-8pm, Sunday 18 December
Where: Surfers Paradise Beach
The Gold Coast’s largest Christmas carols will be hosted by former Hi-5 member Charli Robinson at Surfers Paradise beach. Kids will eagerly await special guests Humphrey B Bear, Blinky Bill, and of course - Santa! The night will conclude with enchanting fireworks lighting up the sky.

There’s nothing more magical then celebrating the spirit of Christmas high up amidst the clouds, with that on-top-of-the-world feeling. You can do just that at Skypoint with their annual Christmas in the Clouds event.

Where: QT Gold Coast
Celebrate Christmas in style with VIP treatment at Stingray Bar with cocktails, canapés and a live DJ.
When: 4-8pm, Sunday 11 December
Where: Tedder Avenue, Main Beach
Main Beach's iconic Tedder Ave will again play host to Christmas merrymaking with music, dancing and some great entertainment from one of Australia's best known vocalists.

Where: Surfers Paradise
This magical 12-day festival will celebrate all things Christmas, right in the heart of Surfers Paradise. Santa will be available for free family photos daily, and roving performers including acrobatic elves and cheerful carollers will keep the festive atmosphere buzzing.

Where: Palm Beach Parklands
Head to the Palm Beach Parklands for Christmas by the Sea for joyful Christmas carols, face painting for the kids, barnyard animals, live entertainment and even a visit from the jolly old man himself.
When: 10am-4pm, 16-18 December
Where: Village Green, Sanctuary Cove
Sanctuary Cove is holding a 3-day Christmas carnival with free ferry rides, a trackless train, reindeer (pony) rides, an inflatable obstacle course and non-stop entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
When: 4:30-9:30pm, Sunday 18 December
Where: Southport Sharks
Just short trams ride from the beach, enjoy a night of festive fun with Christmas Carols and live entertainment by LOL Crew, the Grinch and Fideous the Frog. There’ll be Christmas goodies, face painting and a visit from Santa and Mr Sharky for the kids’ enjoyment.

Where: Warner Bros. Movie World
Experience the magic of a White Christmas with snow covered streets, live performances and Christmas light displays at Warner Bros. Movie World. You and the whole family will no doubt be captivated by the enchanting street parades, magical live performances and incredible activities and rides.

Departure point: Arts Centre Gold Coast
Each year, Murray’s Coaches hold nightly bus tours to show off the winning displays from City of Gold Coast’s Christmas Lights Competition. Head off on a night of enchantment, as you’re taken around the most festive streets of the Gold Coast. Bookings are essential.

Head to NightQuarter on Christmas Eve for ‘A Very Bublé Christmas’ with all your favourite Bublé songs and Christmas carols performed by World On A String. Enjoy special Christmas treats, like seasonal cronuts and cake shakes.
