For those on the northern end of the coast, the New Year’s celebrations at Brien Harris Oval are perfect! With everything from live music to face painting and carnival rides, it's sure to be a great night for the whole family.
Get down to Viney Park in Coomera from 5pm for some food, live tunes, sideshow fun and rides in the lead up to an awesome fireworks display at 9pm.
Paradise Point: 9pm
Have you ever seen fireworks synchronised with music? If not, you should definitely head to the 9-o’clock fireworks at Paradise Point Parklands! Live bands are on stage from 5:45pm, including Lisa Hunt and the Soul Train Band.
For a night to remember for the whole family, head to Southport's Broadwater Parklands this New Year's Eve for fireworks and a feast! Grab a bite to eat from one of your favourite Gold Coast and Brisbane food trucks, and set up a blanket on the lawn to watch the show in the sky.
Main Beach: 9pm and midnight
Enjoy two spectacular fireworks displays on the beach in front of Sheraton Mirage Resort & Spa to welcome in 2016 in style.
Surfers Paradise: 8pm and midnight
Every year, Surfers Paradise puts on one of the largest fireworks displays in Queensland. The festivities kick off at 8pm with a superheroes theme for the whole family to enjoy - so don’t be afraid to dress up for the occasion!
Broadbeach: 8.30pm and midnight
With live performances kicking off from 8pm and running all the way through to 12:30am, you get a whole lot more than fireworks at Kurrawa Park and Pratten Park in Broadbeach.
You don’t need to be by the beach to catch an incredible fireworks display. Celebrate New Year's Eve in style on The Promenade at Robina Town Centre with live entertainment and fireworks from 9pm.
North Kirra: 7.30pm
This spot is a pretty great vantage point to get your fireworks fix. Start off with the 7:30pm display in front of the North Kirra Surf Club, then stick around for some live music by Sweet Mixjah before catching a glimpse of both the Coolangatta and Surfers Paradise fireworks later in the evening!
Coolangatta: 9pm and midnight
Just across from The Strand at Coolangatta Beach there are two fireworks displays. Grab a picnic blanket and get cosy on the beach, or book a table at one of the nearby restaurants or surf clubs for the best seat in the house.
Tweed Heads: 11pm
If you're on the southern end of the coast and can’t hold out until midnight, popping over to Jack Evans Boat Harbour is a great way to catch the fireworks an hour earlier!
