For music lovers, a festival with a great line-up is a perfect reason to travel. Couple this with a stunning coastal location like the Gold Coast, and you're in for a real treat!

Whether you're into rock 'n' roll, the blues, country, rockabilly and Elvis tributes, or just about any genre... you'll find it all live on the Coast from May to July 2016.

There are five major music events including:

Surfers Paradise LIVE: 6-8 May 2016

The biggest music festival to hit Surfers Paradise returns in May 2016 with another stellar line-up of artists. Held over three days, they're rolling out what they do best; live music! Surfers Paradise LIVE will showcase a diverse, eclectic mix of music genres with multiple stages throughout the precinct, so no matter where you are in Surfers Paradise you'll hear the sounds of the best live music for free.

Blues on Broadbeach: 19-22 May 2016

Australian and international acts will headline Australia's largest free music festival. Eric Burdon, Diesel, Cookin' on 3 Burners featuring Tex Perkins, The Bamboos, and a Back in Blue tribute to AC/DC are just a few of the massive artists to headline this year's Blues on Broadbeach Music Festival.

The free event staged in the streets and in venues over four huge days throughout the popular Gold Coast hub will also feature Bondi Cigars, Owen Campbell, Blue Shaddy, Nick Barker and the Heartache State and North Carolina's Blues Man; Big Daddy Wilson.

In a festival first, the five-time ARIA Award winner singer, songwriter and guitarist, Diesel, will headline the Friday Night of the festival with a free full performance in the Jupiters Hotel and Casino Theatre.

Cooly Rocks On: 3-13 June

For 11 action-packed days the colourful and vibrant beachside precincts of Coolangatta and Tweed Heads will be fuelled with party atmosphere thanks to Cooly Rocks On.

More than 50 rock 'n' roll and rockabilly bands from across Australia will perform alongside special guest international artists from around the world. Over 1,300 cars will line the streets for one of the biggest car displays ever staged in Australia. 
Bring the family and enjoy loads of free entertainment and retro markets. Watch the street parade and join a Rock 'n' roll, Rockabilly or Swing workshop.

See as many amazing shows as possible, dance every night away and have as much fun as you can possibly squeeze into your stay.

Broadbeach Country Music Festival: 17-19 June

Adam Brand and The Outlaws, The Sunny Cowgirls, Jasmine Rae and the Adam Eckersley Band are just some of the massive Country stars set to hit the sunny Gold Coast for the fourth annual Broadbeach Country Music Festival.

Uniquely combining 'Country with the Coast' the beachside event is free to attend, showcasing premier Country Music performers on a number of outdoor stages and in venues throughout the entire Broadbeach precinct

Set to headline the three day free event is 12 time Golden Guitar-winner, Adam Brand, fronting The Outlaws, an all-star line-up of country music's best-loved and most prolific names; Drew McAlister, Travis Collins, Matt Cornell and Mike Carr.

The incredible line-up will feature more than 30 artists also including Davidson Brothers, Caitlyn Shadbolt, Simply Bushed, Harmony James, Hillbilly Goats and more.

Viva Surfers Paradise: 8-17 July

See Surfers Paradise take a step back in time as they pay tribute to the world's greatest music legends with ten days of free classic entertainment at Viva Surfers Paradise. There'll be all your favourite Viva fun including performances by the best tribute artists, rock 'n' roll dancing, classic cars, and the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Competition where they send the best Elvis artist to compete in Memphis! 

Gracing the stage as 2016's feature performers will be Viva favourite Chris Connor and new to Surfers Paradise, Dean Z!

Chris Connor (8-9 July)
Direct from the UK, Chris Connor will return to Viva Surfers Paradise for the third year running to bring you a new Elvis production. 

Dean Z (14-16 July)
Californian Dean Z has been crowned the 2013 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Champion and has also received the 2014 Heart of The King Award. A great addition to Viva!
