Retail Fest is an immersive celebration of innovation in retail and eCommerce, bringing together Founders, CEOs, and VPs to network and share the latest trends, strategies and insights with delegates from across the globe.
A key goal for the event is the creation of a ‘community’ that comes together each year to learn, grow and have a whole lot of fun.
Retail Fest needed a destination that could deliver:
- An adaptable conferencing space
- A wide range of activities
- An experience far removed from typical city living.
The Gold Coast is a great area to have your conference as it has it all in the one central location, creating a community for the attendees during their visit.
UNIQUE + VIBRANT
Over 2,000 people from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast and New Zealand — as well as the USA and Asia — came together for Retail Fest’s week-long celebration of all thing’s eCommerce. Shaking up the traditional three-day conference and exhibition format, organisers added ‘marketplace meetups’, sponsored parties, eCommerce workshops and a charity gala into the mix.
Each evening, delegates were then able to enjoy a range of offsite events, all conveniently located within the Broadbeach area.

Economic Impact
The Gold Coast creates a memorable experience for delegates and exhibitors, it has a variety of food options, activities and a different environment to most people’s day-to-day city life in Melbourne and Sydney.
RETURNING IN 2024
The Gold Coast ticked every box for Retail Fest, from the ease of travel between accommodation and the Convention Centre, to the flexibility of venues and ambience of this idyllic coastal location.
There are a lot of dining options; we often book out multiple venues for events each evening and there are still plenty within a walkable distance for people to choose from.
We had all positive feedback with the amount the Gold Coast has to offer and the proximity of it all.
Back in 2024 to do it all again, the team are excited to explore more new opportunities — and revisit some of their 2023 favourites, including the Dorsett hotel, Miss Moneypenny's restaurant and cocktail bar and rooftop venue Nineteen at The Star.
