#PLAYRESCUE CAMPAIGN 2021

Destination Gold Coast celebrated re-opening by rescuing holiday-deprived Aussies. This publicity campaign and consumer competition was to reignite the idea of ‘play’ and attract Australian families back to the Gold Coast. Branded #PlayRescue, the campaign played on the fact that so many postponed and cancelled holidays have left many families feeling flat and frazzled. #PlayRescue is the antidote!

Australians were invited to enter the competition by telling us in 25 words or less why their family needs a #PlayRescue to the Gold Coast. The competition opened on the 9th December, 2021 and entries closed on the 30th December 2021, with the winner drawn on the 14th January 2022.

The winner of the competition and their family will be whisked away on a holiday to enjoy some much needed moments of play, connection, excitement and fun. The prize package includes accommodation and experiences from members including Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Dreamworld, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Southport Yacht Club and Gold Coast Helitours.
