Run Amuk Cruises - Tour

Run Amuk Cruises is a social enterprise for the veteran Maritime Warrior project operating SV Run Amuk, a commercially registered ocean-going 43-foot sailing yacht based on the Gold Coast Broadwater.

All profits of their tourism operation go to their project which runs wellness and up-skill programs for veterans and charities.

Join the crew onboard to help set the sails on one of their sailing cruises on offer from Sailing with Whales, Sunset charters to sailing to South Stradbroke Island or beyond to Moreton Island for a snorkel on the renowned Tangalooma Wrecks.

Depending on your appetite for the excitement they can sit back, relax or get on the helm, sailing, fishing and swimming off the stern. Their sister ship holds the prestigious Rolex Sydney to Hobart record title for most races completed by any yacht which goes to say they make their cruises fun if you want to push your limits.

There's plenty of room for twelve guests to lounge amongst the bean bags and cushions. The yacht features an extra-wide beam for its class which makes her one comfortable stable vessel. The Kitchen, fridge, couch and beds are all below in the saloon with a barbecue on the deck. For those who want to let their hair down and run amuk they supply ice and a cooler for your BYO.

Captains Day

Captains Day (day charter) will explore our Gold Coast Broadwater, we depart and return from 'Runaway Bay Marina', their local waterfront precinct just north of Southport. Nestle amongst the bean bags and cushions or have a go at crewing and learn to put up a sail, grind a winch or steer a course on the helm as we give a go at tacking and jibbing and all those sailing things. They sail around the picturesque Broadwater turn at Wave Break Island, a popular destination for divers and fishers. Then track north to Stradbroke Island to anchor at the popular Tipplers Cafe precinct for lunch with the islands wild wallabies (often mistaken for kangaroos).
