Gold Coast Beach Parade
COST: 30 - 250 AUDGold Coast Beach Parade is a world record attempt for the greatest number of people in koala ear visors in a beach parade. It is a fun event for everyone and it celebrates the Gold Coast’s famous beach lifestyle, shining a spotlight on this safe, healthy holiday destination, highlighting great community spirit, while promoting a cause that’s close to their hearts – saving endangered Koalas. Gold Coast Beach parade is a 3-kilometre walk along the beach of beautiful Burleigh Heads.

Sneakers Unboxed | Drawing for Life with Sarah Huston
Sneakers Unboxed | Drawing for Life with Sarah HustonEach month we invite leading artists and performers to curate poses, subjects and performances for you to draw, with all materials provided. Relax and unwind with short, guided drawing warm-ups, followed by long and sustained poses or still life subjects, with help from our guest artist and team of artist educators. Whether you’re new to drawing or one of the greats, all abilities are welcome to enjoy this unique and artful experience. The next two sessions, inspired by Gallery 1 exhibition Sneakers Unboxed: Studio to Street will have a sporty flavour and will be facilitated by Sarah Huston! Artist Bio Sarah Huston’s career spans many mediums and industries. Her professional background includes working as a creative director, designer, curator, event producer, artist, and founder of the women’s skateboarding media platform, Yeah Girl. These days you’ll mostly find Sarah working as an actor, a stunt performer, or consulting for organisations and brands on all things skateboarding.

Cauldron Distillery Interactive Gin Blending Class
Get your creative juices flowing during an informative and interactive Gin Blending Class at Tamborine Mountain’s very own Cauldron Distillery. Do you enjoy creating recipes in the kitchen? How good is your palate at detecting flavours? During this one hour experience, you will learn everything there is to know about gin and then you are set free to create your own gin masterpiece to take home. Set in their world-class distillery and guided by their distilling team, you will select from a multitude of individually distilled botanicals and skilfully blend them together to create a balanced gin that suits your palate and taste. How does a gin with orange, sage, and anise sound to you? Maybe you prefer rose petals, strawberry, and cocoa nibs? Perhaps your preference is lemon myrtle, macadamia nuts and honey? The choice will be yours because your gin blend can be as unique as you are! Kids and Families Fishing Lesson - Currumbin
Do your kids want to go fishing but you're not sure what to do? Want to learn how to fish, but feel uncomfortable about it? Send them along to this award-winning program and they will take care of all the tangles, they've had plenty of experience with flying hooks over the past 18 years. They will ease everyone into fishing with this fun and educational activity. Classes are very hands-on, everyone will be shown how to use the equipment and receive help to correct their technique. Squeals of delight (maybe fear) can be heard echoing down the beach when the kids pump up yabbies. You and your family will have a ball learning an awesome life skill, bond and make wonderful memories for the day. Kids and families will learn to read the beach, catch bait with yabby pumps and a bait net, tie a fishing knot, cast a rod and hopefully land a fish. They will pick up plenty of tips to help make their next fishing adventure more successful. This class is for both kids and families. All bait and fishing equipment provided. All staff have blue cards for working with children. Bookings are essential.

Mayor's Christmas Carols presented by Village Roadshow Theme Parks
Every time you cry, save up all your tears…the Mayor’s Christmas Carols is almost here! In its twelfth year, City of Gold Coast’s Mayor’s Christmas Carols is being staged at the HOTA Outdoor Stage and HOTA Parklands on Saturday 2 December and you guessed it, will be headlined by none other than Human Nature! The ticket allocation is now exhausted for the Outdoor Stage. Don’t despair if you missed out on tickets, we’re activating the HOTA Parklands with screens on the lake broadcasting the event live, lots of free family entertainment and a delicious assortment of food trucks! No tickets required for this area, which opens from 4pm. Supporting our ARIA Hall of Fame headliner, the festive celebration will feature: The Gold Coast’s very own, Lily Grace The Brisbane City Gospel Choir Warner Bros. Movie World’s Looney Tunes Christmas Show Santa & more! Hosted by 7NEWS Gold Coast presenters Amanda Abate and Steve Titmus and 1029 Hot Tomato’s Emily Jade O’Keeffe and Galey, the evening will commence at 6pm and conclude at 9pm with a fireworks finale that will undoubtedly light up your night! Bring a friend or come solo to our tutored life drawing classes for beginners. A beautiful, creative evening ahead awaits you. Their life drawing sessions are about being expressive and allowing your sketches to freely flow. What to remember: Your fave bottle of vino (or beer, cider, spritz etc). A plate of your fave nibbles. An open mind and a willingness to learn and creatively explore. No experience necessary! What they will have for you: Wine glasses (they’re clean although a little covered in paint). Full sized fridge to keep the essentials fresh and cool. All art material such as aprons, drawing boards, easels and charcoal. Guide you in creating various, guided charcoal sketches of our nude, life model. A warm, inviting, professional and friendly artist hosting your session. Discover Sailing Day: Set sail for free and embark on an adventure. Ages six and up are welcome. Register now. Tis’ the sea-sun to be jolly! The iconic Cooly Carols will once again be oceanside at Queen Elizabeth Park on Sunday 10 December from 5:30pm. Gather your nearest and dearest for a memorable evening with an all-Aussie cast of singers and dancers performing the Christmas carols we all know and love (to sing along to!). There’ll be a delicious assortment of savoury and sweet food trucks, the big man in red (Santa) will be dropping in and we’ll finish the night with a shimmering fireworks finale!
