    Life Drawing

    Sharpen your drawing skills with life drawing, hosted at Mint Art House on the first Wednesday of every month. This unguided session is the perfect way to practice drawing from a life model and really hone in on your creativity and skills. Open to all levels, join us for an evening of drawing in our gallery. BYO Materials BYO Drinks Mint Art House is the Gold Coast’s freshest artist-run gallery and studio space. Home to 14 talented established and emerging artists, ranging from painters to sculptors, muralists to ceramicists, Mint is a collaborative space that hosts a regular program of exhibitions, artist talks and workshops.

    Cauldron Distillery Interactive Gin Blending Class

    Get your creative juices flowing during an informative and interactive Gin Blending Class at Tamborine Mountain’s very own Cauldron Distillery. Do you enjoy creating recipes in the kitchen? How good is your palate at detecting flavours? During this one hour experience, you will learn everything there is to know about gin and then you are set free to create your own gin masterpiece to take home. Set in their world-class distillery and guided by their distilling team, you will select from a multitude of individually distilled botanicals and skilfully blend them together to create a balanced gin that suits your palate and taste. How does a gin with orange, sage, and anise sound to you? Maybe you prefer rose petals, strawberry, and cocoa nibs? Perhaps your preference is lemon myrtle, macadamia nuts and honey? The choice will be yours because your gin blend can be as unique as you are! Here’s what is included in this unique experience: Complementary G and T on arrival from our signature Five-To-Five Range A guided 45-minute gin blending class A 200 ml bottle of your very own gin to take home A G&T made from your very own gin at the completion of the course Free Cauldron Club membership with $10 on us to spend at the tasting room bar or bottle shop.

    Twilight Tour at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

    See Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary like you’ve never seen it before – after dark! Take a very special guided tour through Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary getting up close with their nocturnal residents, such as the cheeky Tasmanian Devils, who are most active when the sun goes down.     Little Music Lab

    Little Music LabJoin us as we explore singing, music, ukuleles, and sound bowls in this Little Music Lab program designed for mums, bubs, and toddlers. Music from an early age stimulates the neural connection and pathways within the brain which can aid in development. The workshops will run once a month over the year and feature different musicians each month to take you on a musical journey of sounds and exploration.  When you sign up for the program you will receive a special music passport. Bring it with you each time you come to a Little Music lab and receive an activity sticker with a fun musical activity for you to take with you and practise at home.  Presented by HOTA, Home of the Arts

    Here at Sip 'n' Dip they offer fun art not fine art. Enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious meal as one of their incredible art instructors takes you through a guided art class. They have a number of resin, alcohol ink, painting, and kokedama classes coming up. No previous experience is required, we will cover the basics of learning to resin decorate a drinks tray or bamboo serving board in your own colours. Food and beverage will be provided by The Club.     Cafe and Clay at The Henchman

    Ready for coffee (or cocktails!?) and clay on a Sunday? Their monthly Sip and Paint sessions at The Henchman just aren't enough! The Sweet Fine Artist Studio is now bringing clay to your favourite venue every second Sunday of each month. Join them at 11 am and dig your hands into premium air-drying earthy coloured clay whilst sipping on your choice of coffee or cocktail and nibbling on a decadent croissant! The instructors will supply you with artist-grade, premium air-hardening clay along with professional clay tools available on the day necessary to make your masterpiece along with a demonstration on how to treat the clay and tips and tricks to make your masterpiece. The generous team at The Henchman Miami have put on a cafe special for you too which you can order upon arrival or at the table!

    COST: From $35Get a true taste of trail running with a trot in Numinbah Valley. After two earlier rounds in Tallebudgera and Coombabah, runners get a bit more of a challenge with the speed bumps (aka hills) as the Flirt Series concludes. A range of distances as always with Flirt events but also something for the hard-core runners too with the ‘In the Raw’ Trail Run also on offer.

With the Dark Sky Nights, they are expanding their offering to accommodate anyone interested in Stars, Astronomy, Night Photography, Constellations, Telescopes and generally a good time away from all the light-pollution. On each Saturday closest to the New-moon the sky is at its darkest, creating the perfect chance to explore the Southern night sky. Combine this with crisp winter mountain air and high altitude for the best possible experience in the Scenic Rim.

    ArtKeeper Open Studio with Nicholas Tossmann & Norton FredericksFrom plays about histories long silenced, to music inspired by our local waterways, textiles dyed using native plants and experiments in conceptual sculpture, the diversity of projects our ArtKeepers have been working on is sure to intrigue and inspire. Drop in to visit ArtKeeper artists in residence, Nicholas Tossmann and Norton Fredericks, in the co-working space they’ve been sharing with the others artists for the past 8 months. This open studio session provides the opportunity to talk one on one with the artists and see more of what they’ve been working on in their space. Come earlier in the day to hear all four of our current ArtKeeper artists - Nadia Milford, Nic Tossmann, Norton Fredericks and Fletcher Babb – in conversation with acclaimed artistic director and playwright, and Artist Provocateur for our ArtKeeper program, Wesley Enoch AM.
