In effect from 1am, Saturday 10 August 2020, Queensland will close its borders to all areas of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. This also includes all areas (and travellers) from Victoria, declared on Friday, 10 July 2020 – as state declared hotspots.
Please note, recreational and business travel including overnight stays to Queensland regions including the Gold Coast is still permitted by those located within Queensland, as well as other
non-declared Australian hotspots.
International travel into and out of Australia is still currently restricted. Updates to Australia's immigration and border arrangements during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak can be viewed here.
