Who doesn’t love a cheeky discount when it comes to eating out? Good news - the Gold Coast dining scene is serving up some droolworthy specials between Monday and Thursday. Yet another excellent reason to treat yourself to a Sneeky Mid-WeekyMaximise your mid-week dining enjoyment with this hit list of the tastiest meal deals from the northern end to the southern tip of the Gold Coast.

Northern Gold Coast

Crafty’s Sports Bar

If you’re at the northern end of the Gold Coast, looking for somewhere to grab a tasty meal with a great atmosphere, then set your Google Maps for Crafty’s Sports Bar. The sprawling sports bar is located at Harbour Town in Biggera Waters, and always guarantees a good time. While you don’t have to be a sports fan to enjoy the space, it certainly helps with loads of large TVs playing the latest in NRL, NFL, basketball, soccer - you name it. Plus there’s live music and old school fun to be had with corn hole and table tennis. Here the cocktails and beer list is extensive, while on the food menu you’ll find tasty comfort meals like towering burgers and pizzas. 

Deal: $20 steak and chips on Mondays, $6 tacos on Tuesday (or 3 for $15), $10 for half a kilo of wings or $15 chicken schnitty on Thursday

Mozza Mozza

This aesthetically pleasing modern Italian trattoria nestled in Southport is serving up drool-worthy woodfired pizzas, moreish pastas and incredible cocktails day in, day out. The stunning interior of Mozza Mozza is centred around a towering olive tree with a mix of high tables and circular booths providing seating for 160 hungry patrons. There’s disco beats coming from the speakers, while the open kitchen provides a show while you dine. But if you want to get really close to the action, order the cacio e pepe served tableside from a giant wheel of a pecorino cheese.

Stingray, QT Gold Coast

Satisfy mid-week Mexican cravings at Stingray - the luxe and lively lounge bar located in the heart of Surfers Paradise at QT Gold Coast. If you're a fan of Taco Tuesday, then make a beeline here for a night of festivity and flavour. Choose from $5 tacos or feast on unlimited (yes, you read that right) tacos for just $30. Pair your meal with a delicious drink for the extensive Patrón cocktail menu.

Precinct Brewing Co.

The Precinct Brewing

The Gold Coast is brimming with incredible craft breweries and Precinct is absolutely one of them. Known just as much for their innovative tipples as their tasty food, this dog-friendly brewery is a crowd favourite.The menu is packed with seasonal dishes that taste best when devoured with a crisp pint. Think: crispy pork belly bao, thin crust pizzas and bar snacks like fried zucchini chips and flatbread. With comedy and trivia nights, plus live music, there’s always something going on at this neighbourhood spot. 

Deal: $5 bao buns from 4pm Monday, $20 pizza from 4pm Tuesday, $15 fried starter and a beer from 4pm Thursday.

Bine

Bine Bar & Dining

This intimate, laidback Nobby Beach joint is an ode to craft beer and perfectly matched meals. With eight rotating taps and a huge selection of bottled brews from around the world to sip your way through, Bine is a beer-lover's dream. To pair with your beer, you can tuck into tasty bites like beef brisket nachos, juicy rump steak and chips, tacos and five different types of parmigiana - no that’s not a typo. 

Deal: 75 cent wings and $10 cheeseburgers from 3 - 6pm on Monday, $5 tacos on Tuesday.

Bonita Bonita

If Mexican food is your love language, then Bonita Bonita is for you. The Mexican taqueria can be found just off the Gold Coast Highway in Mermaid Beach and has been slinging excellent margaritas and tacos to hungry locals and visitors for a decade! Moodily lit with candles adorning every surface and pictures of Lady Gaudalupe on the walls, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to Mexico City the moment you step inside. Tuck into fish tacos, pork taquitos, beef empanadas and grilled corn. Post feed, be sure to pop into Bon Bon, Bonita’s intimate bar next door, for a night cap.

Loose Moose

The Loose Moose Tap & Grill House

This prohibition-style grill house is always a hive of activity. Loose Moose is located on the corner of the Oasis building - just follow the sound of laughter and music and you’ll discover this Gold Coast favourite. On the walls you’ll find neon signs, a taxidermy (loose) moose and framed black and white photos of the prohibition era. The huge bar runs the length of the eatery and crafts some of the best cocktails on the Gold Coast, while the menu is equally huge. Think everything from tacos and wings to burgers, steaks, smoked ribs and pizzas. 

Deal: $7 tacos (minimum of two), $6 spring rolls (minimum of two) and $7 tap beer Tuesday to Thursday 12 - 5pm.

Goldie’s at The Island

Perched on the corner of The Island hotel in vibrant Surfers Paradise, Goldie's is a bright and airy space where nautical meets laid back beach bar. Perfect for long lunches to lively dinners, look out over palm tree-lined streets, people watch and soak up the live tunes from talented local musicians while feasting on a menu that is brimming with classics. Treat yourself to burgers, pizzas, salads and melt-in-your-mouth steaks. And you can’t visit Goldie’s without sampling one of their perfectly shaken cocktails - the spritz is a must. 

Deal: $18 burger and fries on Tuesday night, $20 steak and fries on Wednesday night, $65 for a 1 kilo ribs board (½ pork ribs, ½ chicken wings with a Valley Hops beer jug) on Thursday night.

Steampunk 

Steampunk Celebrations & Cocktails

Make tracks to Australia’s only steampunk-themed bar for good vibes, bites and brews. This iconic venue is a favourite in Surfers Paradise thanks to its unique interior, epic live music line-up and giant fishbowl cocktails. Grab a seat on the deck at Steampunk and watch the revellers below or sink into a comfy Chesterfield lounge inside and tuck into dishes like monster loaded chips, ribs, burgers and pizzas. 
 
Deal: $14.90 daily lunch specials all week long (calamari salad, chicken parmigiana, beef burger, chicken burger), $2 ribs on Wednesday night (BBQ pork ribs, southern fried boneless chicken ribs and cowboy butter basted corn ribs).

Paloma Wine Bar

Awarded Australia’s best wine bar (yes, it beat out every bar in Australia), Paloma is a no-brainer when seeking out a great spot for a delicious meal and a glass of vino. The intimate Burleigh spot - brought to you by the talented team from Labart - sits pretty on bustling James Street. Snag a seat out the front (great for people watching) or slip into a banquette inside, and peruse the carefully curated wine list, while tucking into drool-worthy seasonal small plates like oysters, kingfish crudo and steak frites.

Deal: $14 cheeseburger and fries on Wednesday night and $18 spaghetti and meatballs on Thursday night.

Apres Surf

Good vibes are guaranteed at Apres Surf. The eclectic space, just a short stroll from the sand in Burleigh, has everything from disco balls and chandeliers on the ceiling, to sporting memorabilia and movie posters on the walls. The result is a space that you just want to linger in for post surf snacks or a hearty pub-style feed like chicken parmigiana, pork katsu sandos and loaded fries. There’s also stand up comedy on Monday nights, open mic nights, and live DJs on the weekends too, so multiple visits throughout the week here are encouraged.

Hail Mary

Transport your taste buds to Mexico with a visit to Hail Mary. Just a short stroll from Burleigh Beach, this peach-hued eatery can be found tucked down an ally off James Street. A perfectly pink paradise, tuck yourself into one of their arched booths or grab a seat at the bar and work your way through their modern mexican menu filled with moreish bites like chilli and lime squid, oven baked halloumi with mezcal butter, snapper and mango tacos and beef brisket quesadilla. And ofcourse, a visit here isn’t complete with sampling one of their 12 (no, that’s not a typo) margaritas. 

Deal: $6 tacos on Tuesday night, $20 birria burger and $19 birria tacos on Wednesday night, $18 for two tacos and a beer from 12 - 5pm on Thursday, plus $50 for four tacos, one nachos and two drinks on Thursday night.

Maman Bar & Kitchen

Maman Bar & Kitchen

Maman, which is French for mum, is a sweet spot tucked away on vibing James Street. The intimate venue will whisk you off to the Med, with an all white decor, azure blue murals and hand-painted ceramics. The menu is designed to share, with a heavy influence of middle eastern and mediterranean flavours. Feast on lamb tagine, moussaka, yellowfin tuna carpaccio, and grilled octopus. It’s like traveling the world with your tastebuds. 

Deal: $39 curry with rice and papadums on Monday night, $99 two-course with a bottle of wine for two people on Thursday night.

Burgster

Hidden away in the quiet back streets of Palm Beach you’ll find Burgster, a neighbourhood joint that takes their burger game very seriously. Slip into a booth or take a seat out the front and peruse the extensive burger menu. The toughest decision you’ll have here is whether you order The Classic Beef, The Colonel (fried chicken, slaw and crispy chicken skins) or the House Brisket with BBQ sauce, pickles and chilli jam. The bar snacks are equally as tasty. Think: jalapeno poppers with honey mayo and deep fried brie bites with truffle. You can wash it all down with crisp beer or cocktail. Pro tip: the Bloody Mary here is next level.

Frida Sol

Perched above the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast Highway in Palm Beach, escape to Tulum at Frida Sol’s rooftop eatery. The modern taqueria is Bonita Bonita’s vibrant little sister, serving equally delicious eats inspired by Mexico with a Gold Coast twist. Bright and airy, the space is adorned with Frida Khalo artwork, cacti and textured walls. On the menu you’ll find tasty dishes like steak chimichurri tacos, grilled barramundi burrito bowls and smoky paprika corn. All of which can be enjoyed while sitting under one of their thatched umbrellas, soaking up the gorgeous Gold Coast weather. 

Deal: $6 classic tacos and $20 jugs of sangria on Tuesday night, $15 nachos on Wednesday night, $6 classic tacos lunchtime-only on Thursdays.

Lucia Tapas House

Teleport to the sandy beaches of San Sebastian with dinner at Lucia Tapas Bar, Tugun’s lively tapas restaurant. The space is an ode to all things Spanish with rose-hued walls, festoon lights and clusters of greenery. Plus, there is a huge outdoor area out the back - perfect for those balmy evenings on the Gold Coast. A true taste of Spain, the menu is packed with small plates of fresh mussels in white wine and flamed chorizo jamon croquettes. And you can’t miss their famous paella - there’s even a veggie option so no one misses out.

Burleigh Pavilion

Burleigh Pavilion is a magnificent spot to watch sunset, especially on TacoTuesday. When dinner's done, take a stroll along the beach or make a beeline to James St and treat yourself to an icecream for dessert.
