Signature Luxury Travel: Restore Your Inner Peace with this Gold Coast Wellness Itinerary

08 Mar 2023

The team at Signature Luxury Travel says, you don’t need a reason to bliss out on the Gold Coast. But if you’re looking for one, let their wellness itinerary guide your way.

Day One

Nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the Gold Coast Broadwater estuary, the opulent Palazzo Versace Gold Coast is the perfect starting point for a few days of urban relaxation.

Morning
Reserve one of the hotel’s chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royces and cruise 20 minutes south through Surfers Paradise along the sparkling coast to Soak Bathhouse. Here, slip into mineral-rich indoor and outdoor pools filled with Himalayan rock salts.

Lunch
Gather picnic supplies from Golosi Food Emporium and sit on the grassy Burleigh Hill, at the northern end of Burleigh National Park. If you’re visiting between May and September, you’ll likely spot migrating humpback whales frolicking among the many dolphins.

Afternoon
End the day at Australia’s first floating beach club, La Luna. Modelled after a luxe yacht, this beach club has a pared-back style where you can order cocktails while you splash about at sunset.
Then glide into on-site restaurant Mare for oysters, scallop ceviche and caviar served on ice. The Mediterranean-inspired menu also favours mezze and tapas plates ideal for sharing.

Day Two

Morning
After a lazy morning slip on your swimsuit and grab a beach towel for a day of ocean therapy. Head 40 minutes drive south to Snapper Rocks where you can splash about in a man-made, ocean- filled pool while soothed by the sound of crashing waves.

Afternoon
For lunch you’ll find family-run Greek restaurant Xenia dishing up soul-salving food. End on semolina custard filo steeped in spiced syrup with ice cream.

Day Three

Lunch
Board Mermaid Spirit with Boattime Yacht Charters and chefs will spend the day serving you ocean-fresh fare to a backdrop of Surfers Paradise or the northern islands of Broadwater.

Evening
Head 20 minutes south and keep the relaxation going at HOTA (Home of the Arts), where you’ll also find The Exhibitionist rooftop bar. Then dine at HOTA’s Palette restaurant where you can expect decadent dishes.

Day Four to Six

Deep in the Tallebudgera Valley you’ll find Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat, an easy hour’s drive from checking out at Palazzo Versace.

This is Australasia’s largest health and wellness retreat. A two-night wellness weekend will see you savour organic meals, indulge in spa treatments, soak in the infinity-edge pool and learn how to take better care of yourself.

Days begin with a 5.30am wake-up call, and they end early in the restaurant, where organic, vegan meals are created. In between there are rainforest walks, stretching classes, meditation, dancing and allocated hours to explore the spa. The wellness menu is one of the most extensive, and innovative.

Head out and explore the rolling valley. One foot on this pretty landscape you'll absorb its healing vibe.
