GOLD COAST BREWS CRAFTED FOR YOU

GOLD COAST BREWS CRAFTED FOR YOU

10 Nov 2017

The Gold Coast is serving up a delicate fusion of flavours that know how to draw a crowd. Awash with cool air and warm welcomes, these world class watering holes are born of a love of good vibes and gatherings.

BURLEIGH BREWING CO.

When a Hawaiian surfing brewster caught the eye of an Aussie lawyer, few believed they’d one day brew solid gold, but as our tastebuds will attest, love has indeed conquered all. Born of passion of place and palate, this award winning brewery is a local institution. With names like ‘My Wife’s Bitter’ and ‘Hassel Hop’, you’re not likely to forget them anytime soon. Muso’s, food trucks and artists swarm under one roof to truly celebrate the Gold Coast’s culture. Prefer a bit of zen with your beer garden? Say Namaste to beer yoga. Yep, it’s a thing.

BALTER BREWERY

You may not be able to get barrelled like the pros, but you can throw back a beer like the world champs thanks to local legends Mick Fanning and Joel Parkinson’s latest venture – Balter Brewery. But being owned by surfing royalty isn’t this sleek converted warehouse’s only claim to fame – they make damn good beer. If a 12-tap bar with infinite flowing amber doesn’t already have you hooked, then swing round on Sundays when the food trucks, exclusive beer samples and tunes roll out. Cheers to that.

With a strong passion for smile-lines and making every effort to add to her own, Lara is an unabashed optimist. A love of ocean breeze and high heels in equal measure, she feels a strong sense of connection to the Gold Coast's efficacious embrace of contrasts. Sure she might stack it on the sand, but you can count on Lara to walk the talk of what's on and what's hot in this vivid city, that has undeniably become her 'spirit animal'.
