The Shaw and Partners Financial Services Coolangatta Gold is one of the most challenging endurance races in surf sports. What began as the central theme for a motion picture more than 35 years ago, now commands a place on Australia’s annual calendar of prestigious sporting events. The mighty Shaw and Partners Financial Services Coolangatta Gold will be held on 14-15 October on Queensland’s Gold Coast. The Shaw and Partners Financial Services Coolangatta Gold consist of 4 events over the weekend at Coolanagatta: Short Course: Saturday, 14 October Youth Challenge: Saturday, 14 October Downwind Paddle: Saturday, 14 October Long Course: Sunday, 15 October The Shaw and Partners Financial Services Coolangatta Gold consists of a 21km Short Course run and a 41.8km Long Course race run. The multi-disciplinary course combines swimming, running, board paddling and surf skiing. Once again in 2023, the event will see the inclusion of the Youth Challenge and will host a Downwind Paddle as part of the the Shaw and Partners Australian Ocean Racing Series for 2023.
