Your Gold Coast Shopping Guide

Your Gold Coast Shopping Guide

04 Dec 2020

If shopping is your poison, pastime, sport or therapy, you’re about to meet your dream match on the Gold Coast. And it won’t matter whether you prefer to live large and lavish dripping in the latest designer threads, or scour one-off boutiques and markets for that exquisite vintage find. From the sporty to the savvy, the frugal to the fashionista – you won’t go home without adding to your wardrobe on the Gold Coast.

From budget to boutique, stylish to chic, we have the shopping centre, store, or boutique for you. Read on to find out what kind of shopping outlet suits you.

SHOP LIKE A KARDASHIAN

Your fashion is on point and you like to rock it when it comes to wearing the latest designer brands. You know your Louis from your Gucci, you’re Prada from your Hermes, but you also like to keep your wardrobe refreshed with Australian Designer fashion – your friend in fashion will undisputedly be Pacific Fair Shopping Centre.

More designer labels live here than anywhere else in Queensland, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Christian Louboutin, Tiffany’s, Givenchy just to name a fancy few. And when it comes to home-sewn – Zimmermann, Dion Lee, Aje and Scanlan Theodore also have beautiful boutiques brimming with curated collections to make your little heart sing.

Explore boutiques and your fix of high-end fashion at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre.

And you will shop in refined Gold Coast coastal style at Pac Fair (as the locals like to call it); meandering through lush landscaped gardens where you can take a break beside sparkling fountains that dance with kaleidoscopic light shows, drift in the sea breeze hanging on suspended chairs or pop your feet up on loungers post-shop. If there was a shopping paradise, this is as close as it gets, but if you prefer not to splurge this time around, you will also find a host of stores who sit in the more affordable price zone plus plenty of places to sit, dine or just enjoy watching the parade of other shoppers in their happy place too.

Shop a variety of boutiques as you wander through the lush grounds of Pacific Fair Shopping Centre.

SHOP LIKE A LOCAL

You love shopping in air-conditioned comfort, prefer high-street over high-end, and don’t want to pay for parking – repeat after me, Robina Town Centre.

With over 400 stores spanning spacious, air-conditioned wings, there’s ample space to wander, pick yourself up a bargain, or peruse the latest looks from fashion favourites including Country Road, Seed Heritage, DeCuba, Witchery, Scotch and Soda and H&M. Streetwear style mavens like to head to Universal Store and General Pants for a fashion-forward fix, but if activewear is your outfit of choice (much like most Gold Coast locals), you’ll be spoiled for choice too with Lorna Jane, Nike, Rockwear, Rebel Sport and Cotton on Body calling Robina Town Centre home.  Arriving in early 2021 (drumroll please)…Queensland’s only store for cult favourite, Stylerunner.

Located in the heart of Robina, head to where the locals go for great bargains.

You can still pick up your designer with locally owned boutique, Issue 1, a favourite with surf stars, yummy mummies and the A-list Instagram crowd, and if you like to get your look on point with the very best in beauty, Sephora, Mecca are David Jones are your go-to’s here.

Explore a range of boutiques at Robina Town Centre, like Australian luxury fashion designer CAMILLA.

THRIFT STORE CHIC IN BURLEIGH HEADS

Calling all stylists, creatives, and people who know the difference between fast and slow fashion, one of our favourite salt infused seaside villages is where you will find one of a kind, small-batch, sustainably focused fashion.

Burleigh’s James Street is well worth a wander for vintage up-cycled denim at Miss Brown Vintage. Think 70’s thick, quality denim and the nostalgia of finding your favourite Levi 501’s. You’ll discover honey-hued leather in butter-soft belts and bags that have already completed countless laps around the sun and a range of rare but essential wardrobe staples.
