Artist talk: Reimagining the Meter Maid origin story with Samuel Leighton-Dore
Join artist/screenwriter Samuel Leighton-Dore and curator Bradley Vincent for a discussion about the joys and challenges of having a multidisciplinary practice that spans the visual arts and on-screen storytelling.
During their conversation, Leighton-Dore will open up about his ArtKeeper project, a work-in-progress short film reimagining the Meter Maids origin story, titled Birds of Paradise, as well as the collaborative creative processes behind interpreting 1960s Gold Coast through the heightened lens of animation.
