    Eskimo Joe

Get ready to down some red wine – Eskimo Joe is coming to Miami Marketta Friday September 29. While successfully straddling the line between commercial success and managing to keep their alternative music roots secure, over their career, Eskimo Joe have racked up a long list of impressive accomplishments. With six studio albums under their belts and sales in excess of 750,000, in Australia alone, the band has seen three of those albums debut at number 1 on the ARIA charts, with juggernaut ‘Black Fingernails, Red Wine’ shining for a monster 62 weeks in the ARIA Chart Top 50 and ‘Foreign Land’, from their fourth album Inshalla, bringing home two APRA Awards, for Most Played Rock Song on Australian radio and Best Rock Song of 2010. Eskimo Joe continue to captivate their large and devout fan base by pursuing new horizons and embarking on new challenges. The band began celebrations for their 21st birthday in 2018 by embarking on a national tour featuring The Sydney, Tasmanian, West Australian and Camerata – (Queensland’s Chamber) Orchestras and more recently provided a packed Optus Stadium in Perth with the pre-game entertainment before the NRL State Of Origin, plus a very special show at Freo.Social where they played Black Fingernails, Red Wine in it’s entirety. With a national tour in support of the legendary Jimmy Barnes and a reunion show with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra in Kings Park at the end of 2019, along with the back catalogue vinyl re-releases the anniversary was a great success. As their storied career continues to evolve, Eskimo Joe have certainly come a long way from their humble beginnings as much-loved indie rock kids in Fremantle, WA. BABBA

ABOUT “Dare I Say It – As Good As ABBA – Molly Meldrum For 26years BABBA have been thrilling audiences worldwide with their superb re-creation of 70’s super group ABBA and the legacy of hits they gave us. Bring your dancing shoes and join the party as we celebrate all the iconic hits of 70’s supergroup ABBA. In 1994 a plot was hatched in a pub in Richmond, Victoria, to create the best ABBA tribute band in Australia, now, 21 years on, BABBA are still wowing crowds across the length and breadth of the country and Internationally with their sparkling re-creation of the 70’s super group and that plot has definitely come to fruition. A BABBA show is so much more than simply the songs of ABBA. The show is about memories, songs that in a second take you to another place and remind all of us of people and places and times that have touched our lives. For 2 hours, Benny, Bjorn, Agnetha and Frida and the incredible legacy they gave the world, can be ours once again. From the glitz and glamour of the costumes and dance moves, all served up with a Swedish accent, to the precision and expert delivery of the music; even the most sceptical of audience members are transported back to 1977 and instantly become immersed into the wonderful musical illusion that is BABBA. Not a single hit is missed as audiences become choirs, singing along, and on many occasions taking over the vocal lead, to songs as familiar as their own names. From the gentle ballads with heart warming melodies and angelic harmonies to some rock and roll excitement as Benny asks Bjorn if he’s ready to rock them, the superb musical finesse of this show is as polished and precise as the day the songs were written. BABBA will perform all Abba’s Greatest Hits such as – SOS, Waterloo, Fernando, Thank You For The Music, Money Money Money, The Winner Takes It All, Does Your Mother Know, Take A Chance On Me, Dancing Queen, Ring Ring, Mamma Mia and many many more in this 2 hour concert spectacular. Seats become redundant as the hits keep on coming and the uncontrollable urge to get up and dance takes control. The energy that exudes from the stage is highly contagious and has no known cure other than to simply indulge your senses and believe; the 70’s are alive and well and right in front of your eyes. From Eurovision winners to winners taking it all, the show builds and climbs, leading the audience on their journey through time, to their ultimate destination, as the Dancing Queen arrives to take the crowd to yet another high. BABBA is the ultimate fun time; no matter how old or how young you may be, the show, just like the music, is timeless. Audiences know when they have seen the best and been a part of something very special and they just want more; that is why BABBA audiences keep coming back, time after time after time.
