We’re working to ensure there are more opportunities for people of all abilities to experience a range of accessible and inclusive events, entertainment, natural areas, tourism experiences and local sports and recreational activities in our city.

Destination Gold Coast continues to work closely with various levels of government, community partners, our suppliers and other agencies to create a city where everyone’s included. The club also provides a beach wheelchair accessible beach shower and a Changing Places toilet with dual transfer toilet, height adjustable change bench, shower and ceiling tracking hoist.

    Burleigh - Burleigh Heads Mowbray Park Surf Life Saving Club: Provides beach matting and beach wheelchairs (Hippocampe, Waterwheels) from 9am to 4pm on Saturdays, from September to May. The club also has standard accessible toilets, a beach wheelchair accessible beach shower, and a Changing Places toilet with similar facilities as mentioned above.

    Broadwater Parklands swimming lagoon in Southport: Offers permanent beach matting and standard accessible toilets, along with a Changing Places toilet.

    Please note that to access some of these facilities, you may need a Master Locksmiths Access Key (MLAK). The clubs usually have a key available for loan, or you can apply for one.
