In support of their new album announcement and release, Boy & Bear have announced a run of Australian Regional dates. Their first regional tour they have done in years. Boy & Bear’s previous four albums have all gone top 10 on the ARIA charts, with two of them taking out the number 1 slot (Harlequin Dream, Limit of Love), their debut album Moonfire coming in at number 2, and Suck On Light coming in at number 7. In 2022, off the back of the ‘State of Flight’ single, Boy & Bear performed their first Australian headline tour in almost 3 years. They sold over 14,000 tickets. This was followed by second single ‘Just To Be Kind’ and performances to tens of thousands of people with Crowded House as well as being involved in a high-profile whisky campaign alongside Matthew McConaughey. 2023 Kokoda Legacy
Kokoda Legacy is back for one final year in 2023. Hike or trail run 10km, 20km or 30km through Kokoda Barracks in Canungra, or embark on a 5km Remembrance Walk to a memorial in Kokoda Barracks to lay down a poppy for our fallen servicemen and women. There are no team requirements, you can register as an individual however they encourage participants to adventure together. Fundraising is not required to participate! All proceeds from your registration will be donated 50/50 to Kokoda Youth Foundation and Gold Coast Legacy. Last year they raised almost $100,000 for these two local charities! Held on Remembrance Day, the 2023 Kokoda Legacy event honours the fallen who fought to protect our great nation. 2023 also marks the centenary of Legacy Australia. This is your opportunity to traverse through army land in Canungra that is strictly prohibited to public and support two local charities that are changing the lives of people in the community.

Learn to make an alcohol ink flower and dried flower frame - Broadbeach Sip 'n' Dip
Here at Sip 'n' Dip they offer fun art not fine art. Enjoy a glass of wine and a delicious meal as one of their incredible art instructors takes you through a guided art class. They have a number of resin, alcohol ink, painting, and kokedama classes coming up. You will make one frame on the night and have quiet a lot of creative freedom in terms of what your piece looks like. Food and beverage will be provided by Kurrawa Surf Club. Head to the website for booking or for more classes in different regions across Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounds. No experience? No worries. Art classes are beginner friendly and their teachers are more than happy to answer any questions. If you're a seasoned artist, keep an eye out for their master classes.
