Morgan Evans | Life Upside Down Tour
Morgan Evans | Life Upside Down TourFollowing his incredibly successful Life Upside Down 2023 Tour of Australia and New Zealand, Nashville-based, Aussie country star, Morgan Evans, will return home this April. On his 2024 visit, Morgan will take his Life Upside Down live show to regional Australian cities, delivering the final dates of his epic tour to fans he hasn’t seen for a while. Following the release his hugely successful EP, Life Upside Down (2023) which featured catalyst track ‘Over For You’, Morgan took the project on the road, returning to home soil last year for the Life Upside Down Tour. What began as seven headline shows ended with a massive fourteen headline performances, as huge demand saw the ARIA Award-winner sell out multiple dates across major Australian cities, including two nights at the iconic Sydney Opera House. Morgan’s forthcoming live album, recorded last September from the Sydney Opera House, will be unveiled in the coming months. Despite being on the road, Morgan continues to create his music, releasing ‘Date Night’ with Kita Alexander during his last Australian tour, along with ‘Thank God She’s A Country Girl’, his own spin on the John Denver classic at the end of 2023, and Christmas track, ‘Christmas In The Backyard’ to round out his whirlwind year. Best known for ‘blending Nashville’s southern charm with an unmistakably down-to-earth Aussie spirit’ (CountryTown), fans clearly can’t get enough of Morgan Evans.

Girl and Girl 'Call a Doctor' ALBUM LAUNCH
Brisbane's Girl and Girl will release their debut full-length, Call A Doctor, on May 24 — the full-length follow-up to their 2023 EP, Divorce. Call A Doctor is an unforgettable first bow from Girl and Girl, an audacious and aggressively tuneful blast of a record from this four-piece garage rock outfit produced by Burke Reid (Courtney Barnett, Julia Jacklin). To celebrate their forthcoming longplayer, the band has released Hello, a whimsical indie rock tune song about a boy who requires daily consults with health professionals in order to rationalise his self-destructive thoughts and routines. "It's about romanticizing your own misery" says singer/songwriter Kai James. "Letting those deep, dark, dirty thoughts take over. Understanding that even if you could pull yourself out, you wouldn’t because the constant stress and worry are both familiar and comfortable.” Girl and Girl will head to SXSW in March 2024 and head back to the States for a national tour supporting Royel Otis. Catch them at home this April on the Hello Australia Tour. This is an 18+ event.

Yirinda
YirindaStep inside the Outdoor Stage for an intimate performance of Yirinda’s self-titled debut album, filled with powerful melodies. Yirinda seamlessly combine ancient Aboriginal language with sublime modern production. Fred Leone and Samuel Pankhurst’s music invokes thousands of generations of story and culture, while emerging as something entirely new. The album sets Fred’s powerful vocals against striking experimental soundscapes, rich with strings, horns, double bass, synthesizer, piano and percussion. The result is otherworldly, a timeless art music outside Western convention. Fred is one of three Butchulla Songmen - a song and language custodian for the Butchulla people from the Fraser Coast region of Queensland, including K’gari (formerly known as Fraser Island). He sings the songs on this album in the endangered Butchulla language, now spoken by only a handful of people. Samuel is an internationally acclaimed contrabassist/producer known for his kaleidoscopic harmonies and polyrhythmic mastery. ‘A cinematic, sumptuous bridge from past to present and beyond.’ - Giselle Nguyen, The Guardian ‘An intriguing combination of experimental soundscapes, Butchulla culture and tradition, fine instrumentation and gorgeous vocals’ - Tone Deaf Image: Thomas CalderPresented by HOTA, Home of the Arts
