Kids and Families Fishing Lesson - Currumbin
Do your kids want to go fishing but you're not sure what to do?? Want to learn how to fish, but feel uncomfortable about it? Send them along to this award-winning program and they will take care of all the tangles, they've had plenty of experience with flying hooks over the past 18 years. They will ease everyone into fishing with this fun and educational activity. Classes are very hands-on, everyone will be shown how to use the equipment and receive help to correct their technique. Squeals of delight (maybe fear) can be heard echoing down the beach when the kids pump up yabbies. You and your family will have a ball learning an awesome life skill, bond and make wonderful memories for the day. Kids and families will learn to read the beach, catch bait with yabby pumps and a bait net, tie a fishing knot, cast a rod and hopefully land a fish. They will pick up plenty of tips to help make their next fishing adventure more successful. This class is for both kids and families. All bait and fishing equipment provided. All staff have blue cards for working with children. Bookings are essential.

Sanctuary Sounds
One of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary’s most popular events is back bigger and better than ever this summer! Sanctuary Sounds will return to the Village Green (outside Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary) every Sunday, starting from January 8. Sit back and relax with amazing food and drinks, and dance the afternoon away with live music featuring different artists each week. The fun starts at 2:00 pm and runs through until 6:00 pm. Oktoberfest is back with more Bavarian brews, bratwursts and knuckles than you can yodel-ay-ee-oooo! Enjoy an authentic Bavarian sesh every Saturday and Sunday arvo throughout October on at Goldie’s, stein in one hand and a pork knuckle or bratwurst in the other. With limited release Bavarian brews crafted for the occasion, like the Valley Hops Hefeweizen, you’ll feel like a true Bavarian biermeister! Go all-in with a Bavarian share board for two featuring a mammoth slow cooked pork knuckle, smoked garlic kraut, brioche buns, fries and condiments – with two half steins included for $79. Lino, Print & Sip
Put down the satisfying TikTok videos and do it yourself! Enjoy the process of linocutting, carving an aesthetic design which is then painted and printed onto rag paper producing your own art prints. Remember to BYO drinks and nibbles, bring an open creative mind and a willingness to have fun. Please arrive 5 minutes before the start time. This session will run for approximately 2-3 hours. The studio will provide a selection of professional carving tools, block of lino per person, samples and examples of designs, artist-grade acrylic paints, rag paper and more to create your masterpiece. Wine glasses are provided (they’re clean although a little covered in paint) and a full sized fridge to keep the essentials fresh and cool. Their warm, inviting and friendly professional artist cannot wait to host this session with you.
